Banish Bloat Today

If you indulged yesterday with a little too much food and drink (and naturally, this will be many of us) and you’ve got a bloated belly this morning, don’t fret. There are ways to diminish your bloat today without starving yourself. Here are a few tips from the folks at Yahoo Health.

- Season Food Without Salt -Use alternative spices instead of salt, which in and of itself attracts water and causes bloat.
- Drink Plenty of Water – Water does a body good! Besides that, soda (even diet soda) adds bubbles that make your belly look (and feel) bloated.
- Eat More Protein – Carbs equal bloat.
- Cook Vegetables -This is all about volume. Cooked veggies take up less space in your tummy.
- Banish Gum Chewing – Chewing gum adds air bubbles to your belly. Chomp on nuts or sunflower seeds instead.
