Bed, Breakfast, and a Weekend Away

So, I’d mentioned that we’d wanted to take a trip to celebrate our 10th anniversary, but that it looked like we wouldn’t make it this year. Surprise!!! We’re actually going to be able to get away for a few days together this week, a hopefully relaxing escape before heading into the craziness of the holiday. It’s a bed and breakfast and, if it’s all I’m hoping it will be, we’ll let you know about the accommodations, should you ever decide to vacation in Ohio.
And nothing against Ohio, but maybe next time we’ll try for a B&B like this in Ireland, or something.

In the meantime, how do you celebrate anniversaries together? Do you do anything extra special for the big anniversaries?

Being that you’re from the Miami Valley too (who would have thunk it – two marriage blogs in the same place), my husband and I are luck enough to have our anniversary right in line with the arrival of Red King Crab from Dorothy Lane. We do a fancy dinner at home with the crabs and usually buy a joint gift (electronics or something we want/need for the home).
Heather: You’re in the Miami Valley as well? How in the world have I missed that?!?! I’m a bit behind on my blog readings, maybe that’s it. Mmmm…King Crab. Sounds delicious. Dorothy Lane is great for those special items! When do those arrive at DL?
We usually go out for a nice dinner. We get someone to watch the kids and we go somewhere that we consider a special treat. Last month we went to a B&B for the first time ever. We went to Bald Head Island, NC. It wasn’t for our anniversary though. It was just because we hardly ever get any time by ourselves. It was nice to get away.
