Reusable water bottles are essential if you’re trying to go green. First of all, you should be drinking water. It’s better for you than chemically charged sodas and other sticky sweet drinks especially with summer coming. You need to care for yourself first then the planet.  The issue with water though is that plenty of people like to carry their water on the go. Many of these folks buy bottled water which is so not earth-friendly.

WHY NOT BUY BOTTLED WATER?:

  • Drinking Tap water is way more eco-friendly than bottled.

  • Plastic water bottles are made from non-renewable resources; the Earth Policy Institute says it takes about 15 million barrels of oil per year to create enough bottles to meet demand.
  • The making of plastic bottles releases icky junk into out air, soil, and water supply. Some can even leach chemicals into your water.
  • In costly news, bottled water is costly. Especially when you can simply drink tap water.
  • See all the problems with bottled water.

Thanks for the info, reusable water bottles are the way to go. Almost all these companies were new to me and the bottles look fantastic. That’s the way to get kids to use them also.

If one does not feel confident drinking the local tap water, it’s easy to attach a sink filter and have good quality water in an eco-friendly way.
