An interesting and lovely addition to any garden is the “buddleia,” better known as the Butterfly Bush. The perennial shrub produces lilac-shaped flowers, but it’s most popular feature is its propensity for attracting butterflies. Here are a few facts about this beautiful bush:

* This plant is named after Reverend Adam Buddle, an English botanist.

* There are more than 100 species of Buddleia.

* Buddleia can be either evergreen or deciduous.

* Buddleia flowers can be white, pink, purple, red, orange, or yellow.

* In addition to butterflies, these bushes attract bees, moths, and hummingbirds.
