Best Advice Group Writing Project – Day 2 Entries
More fabulous entries came in for the Weary Parent Group Writing Project and Contest. I know I originally made the cut off for entries tonight at midnight, but if you still want to enter, be my guest! I will accept entries all the way up until some time Friday afternoon when I will have one of my tweens pull the entry number for the prize.
Day 2 entries:
- Maria of My Baby and I got some great advice from her Mum. I managed to follow three of her four guidelines. I got married at 26.
- Dawud of dmiracle has fond memories of his Grandad and the words he spoke when Dawud was 8 years old – “what you focus on expands” – you will have to read the entry to truly understand these profound words.
- Gayle of Parenting Teens writes a beautiful post on the importance of family first; how she received this advice and is now passing it on to her daughter.
- ExPat Mom’s It’s Ok to Cry When You Say Goodbye entry was very moving! What tough events to have to weather, but what a wonderful father.
Remember, it’s not too late to enter! I am truly impressed by the quality of the entries I have received so far – your’s will be fantastic and I can’t wait to read it.

My post is up.
Hmmm, it zapped the link I put in the post. Here it is again: http://www.randaclay.com/lumps/2007/06/22/the-best-advice/
Hey Char.
Thanks for including me. I enjoyed writing this post. It let me think back to my relationship with my grandpa.
What’s interesting is that I’d say the most influential people in my life have come during my adulthood. Kind of an interesting thing to consider.
Randa – I loved your post! Thanks for including it. It is a good thing the winner is going to be determined by random draw – there are too many great entries.
Dawud – thank you for sharing your story with us. I think there are always influential people at the different stages in our lives – I am lucky to have had many, as you have as well.
