Bill Gates Says No iPhones or iPods in His Household

French President Nicolas Sarkozy Receives Bill Gates

When you think of Bill Gates, you think technology. But when it comes to his kids, he won’t allow them to have an iPhone or iPod. Both are banned.

He says, “There are very few things that are on the banned list in our household. But iPods and iPhones are two things we don’t get for our kids.”

If you think it’s because he doesn’t want his kids involved in technology, you’re wrong. Both the iPhone and iPod are made by Apple and in competition with Microsoft.

I guess I can see that. How about you?

We don’t own them either, they’re too expensive for us. My dad only bought Wrangler jeans because he worked for them right out of college.

  2. Yeah, if my dad worked for a certain company, I could see him wanting us to only buy from that place.

Well, if he was that specific, ipods (not mp3 players) and iphones, then I’d say he’s not investing in the competition. Perhaps they have zunes (are those still in production?) Anyway, good business strategy. So long as his don’t rebel and buy tons of ipods as soon as they’re able.
