Bindi Irwin Tours With The Wiggles

Bindi Irwin

While most of us are still toting some wounds from the recent departure of our favorite Wiggle, and lingering sadness over the death of Steve Irwin, it’s nice to see that these two are teaming up to tour the US. Um, Bindi and the Wiggles, not Steve Irwin and the yellow Wiggle.

The young wildlife warrior said her high-energy show, called Bindi And The Crocmen, would have Americans on their feet. The Crocmen are three men who will perform alongside her.

“We’re doing some dances, which will be really fun because all the people get to get up and dance along with us,” Bindi said in the interview.

The concerts are part of the annual G’Day USA: Australia Week 2007 festivities, which her father had supported in recent years.

Bindi is also preparing to launch her TV show, Bindi The Jungle Girl. It will go to air in the US early next year.

I’m trying hard not to say something a little mean about stage mothers, but doesn’t it feel just a bit soon to be touring after Dad’s death? Or, do you think she/they are just trying to not deal with the sadness?

First of all, she is the spitting image of her dad – no question as to whose kid she it. Second, I don’t really have a strong feeling one way or another. As long as it makes her happy and helps her cope with her loss, it doesn’t bother me.

  2. Char, I agree. That is certainly Steve’s daughter. Looks just like him!

I don’t know though, seems a little pushy for an 8 year old. However, it’s her kid and if that’s how she wants to grow up, I suppose she should enjoy it. Dakota Fanning seems happy.

Bindi is doing what she has always done and enjoys. If she wasn’t doing what what she loves to do and carrying on with her life she would be miserable. Plus her father wouldn’t want her to not continue on with her life and what she loves. Her mother is trying to keep her life as close to what it was before her father’s death. Steve always told his family he didn’t want them to give up on what they believed in if something was to happen to him. Bindi finds healing in being able to carry on with her and father’s dream of conservation of wildlife.

I’ve heard the same thing on other sites. I hope you’re right. She does seem happy.

i’ve seen so many people on forums on many other sites criticizing people for forcing her to do this sort of stuff… she looks so happy doing that, i think she’s doing what she loves and believes in

hi, Samara, thanks for stopping by! So long as Bindi is happy doing what she’s doing, then I say, good for her. I couldn’t imagine what she must be going through. I hope she finds joy.
