Bird flu claims another Indonesian life

After three weeks of treatment, an Indonesian woman succumbed to the bird flu on Tuesday, bringing the country’s death toll from the H5N1 virus to 57.
According to Reuters AlertNet, the woman from had been in contact with chicken eggs and there was unconfirmed reports of dead poultry. And according to CBC News, health ministry officials were still investigating the source of infection.
She lived in the city of Tangerang, on the western outskirts of Jakarta.
