Black Friday Blues.

So now that the Thanksgiving feast is over, it seems that the focus is on Black Friday. The morning after, so to speak, in the black of the night, it is Friday. Shoppers swoop in on what retailers hope will be a feeding frenzy of another sort.
Christmas Shopping!
While the kids are still asleep, those big retail CEO’s store managers and financial pundits are hoping that you and I are going to spend all of our hard earned, Red-Blooded-American Dollars on all of the foreign made by cheaper, foreign slave labor some where in China or India or some other cheap worker state stuff that we and/or our kids really don’t need but feel we have to have because the TV commercials are telling us it is the latest and greatest junk we have to have because their companies spent a ridiculously enormous amount of their capital to advertise on the TV networks (broadcast and cable) to get you out of your bed this morning at “Zero Dark-Thirty” into their stores this morning.
Whew! I didn’t think I was gonna get that all out in one breath!
So did you succumb to all this high pressure “Early Bird” special baloney? Or were you like us here in our warm cozy bed sleeping off the Thanksgiving Feast Hangover from too much dessert?
Isn’t it funny what the people who want to take away your money will make you do? Just to give it to them…

I like to stay in bed
Thank You,

I can’t blame you Meggy!
Shoppers were crazy out there. I saw that a Wal-Mart employee was trampled to death ny shoppers when he tried to open the doors at 5:00am in Long Island, NY. Then on our left coast two men shot & killed each other in a Toys r Us store in California. They were nuts out there!
I heard about the Wal-Mart man. Bed is much safer unless you eat too much thanksgiving.
Thank You,
MW
my comment not posted?
No shopping for me.
Instead I got up, washed 35+ teapots to rearrange them for the holidays, and THEN decorated the house on the inside.
That makes three days in a row getting up and being on my feet all day.
I think cookies will just have to wait.
BTW why is it easier to walk for miles and miles than it is to stand and cook? Or stand and decorate? I don’t mind being on my feet as long as I am walking/jogging.
Now that we have Thanksgiving at home it’s too much to do Thanksgiving, then deocrate, then marathon baking.
I am also discovering I really don’t like all the Thanksgiving leftovers. It gets very messy.
Ginger..Ethan kept murmuring “Skipping Thanksgiving” the whole time we were cleaning….I think he has an idea for a book….or somethng…

“my comment not posted?”
It looks like it did.
Blessings,

It was held up in the queue…I had to o.k. it because she hasn’t commented enough for them to go straight through..unlike David who has commented rather a lot.
“.unlike David who has commented rather a lot.”
I heard that
oh my….did I say that out loud?
You said it softly, then
Aww..you are always welcome….you are always nice..and I like that in a person.
LOL about Ethan.
Karen informed me at bedtime that God told her NOT to eat any more Thanksgiving food. While I empathize with her, (I’m more than willing to toss what remains) I am quite certain other family members would protest.
