I started blogging about breast cancer on Wednesday, November 1, 2006. I know that for a fact, because I recently revisited The Breast Blog, my first breast cancer blog, and that was the date on my very first post, my introduction to the world.

Ah, The Breast Blog. Were any of you here readers of mine there? I’m going to assume most of you were not.

After perusing my old posts, I decided it might be fun to share with you a few of my favorite posts from those early days.

So, here are five of my favorite posts from my foray into breast cancer blogging:

  1. This post, Seven for 2007, lists seven things today’s breast cancer survivors need to know to stay one step ahead of this disease.

  2. In my post Children Share Your Anxiety you’ll find some useful links for parents to follow if they’re hoping to shelter their children from the anxiety of a cancer scare or diagnosis.

  3. The Power of Written Prayer focuses on, well, the power of written prayer in a survivor’s life.

  4. I also wrote an essay called My Boobies, My Self that is really entertaining if I do say so myself!

  5. Finally, in this post, Realize Your Dreams, I reference the site SuperViva.com and discuss the concept of sharing your dreams, making them happen and inspiring others in the process.

I hope you enjoy the blast from the past. Come back here and let me know which post you liked best!

Great post about the 7 for 2007. I totally agree with the calcium issue. I’ve heard it so many times from my own Oncologist about how calcium can help to prevent breast cancer and many breast cancer survivors I’ve spoken to believe calcium with Vit. D helps to keep bone mets stable.
I’m 100% with you on HRT & the pill.. say no and run away!!!! They’re evil. I’ve met too many women that believe that was the cause of their breast cancer.

Thanks Donna. It’s interesting about the Vitamin D; I posted recently about the link being studied between Vitamin D deficiency and higher breast cancer risk.

More reasons to milk your diets, right?
