Well it looks as though I’ve been tagged again for a friendly game of blog-tag, this time by low-carb icon Jimmy Moore. I’ve been busy with wedding plans (dress fittings, buying wedding rings etc) and I was tagged on Saturday so it’s time to get down to business.
8 Things About Me -
1. When I was ten, I was almost struck by lightning. We were vacationing in Mesa Verde and hiking on a mountaintop when a thunderstorm hit, and a tree next to me got struck. I was glad to get back home unscathed!
2. My favorite childhood snack was Cheez-its and lemon juice (Gross, huh?).
3. I’m afraid of being deep underwater. Although I can swim fine, I even get breathless swimming underwater in a video game!
4. When I was a teenager, I dyed my hair every color of the rainbow – with bleaching in between! I’m lucky my hair’s recovered from that – now I’m a highlighted blonde, and I’d like to keep it that way!
5. Earlier this year I paid $75 for a lipstick – and I didn’t even like it! Read the story here.
6. I met my fiance through AOL, which got me some skeptical looks at first when I told friends how great he was. You know the “Sure Claire, I bet he’s great! Just wait until he turns out to be a nutcase!” kinds of looks. But 3 1/2 years later, here we are!
7. Although I can’t do this very often because of the sodium, I like to eat plain salsa by the spoonful. I’ll get a little dish, put a few tablespoons of salsa in it, add a squeeze of lime and eat away.
8. In middle school, I won a grade-wide writing contest for the best short story two years in a row. Although I don’t claim to be an epic writer, I still love to do it to this day.

I think I will have to pass on this one because after seven years of blogging I have pretty much exploited any quirky facts already for my entries… how sad is that!? I will have to go out and do some new stuff for new material

I just found your blog today, and I love it! I, too, met my husband online – on the old Prodigy! Yeah, you get weird looks, and, at first, we were hesitant to tell people how we met, but now that online dating is all the rage, we feel like pioneers!
