I’m holding another giveaway/drawing at Quilting and Patchwork.  This one is in conjunction with the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival, July 28-Aug. 1.

I’m offering the book, Sarah’s Patchwork, a novel by Stephanie Grace Whitson.  We follow orphan Sarah Biddle as she starts her heirloom patchwork quilt in her new home in Lincoln, Nebraska.  She grows from a frightened orphan girl to a courageous woman, stitching her quilt of past and present.  This book is part of the Keepsake Legacies series.

The giveaway is open to those who live in the United States or have a mailing address here.  The dates are July 28- Aug. 1, at 11:59 AM eastern.

Leave a comment below.  (Include your e-mail address in the sign-in procedure, so I’ll know how to contact you. E-mail addresses are not made public.)

Tell us about your quilting, if you’d like.  Do you have any heirloom quilts in your family?

The other Giveaway I have at Quilting and Patchwork ends July 31.  This is for the book, What I Learned from God While Quilting.

My grandma was a quilter made wonderful quilts thanks for the contest

  2. Belle's mom says:

I have several quilts that my Grandmother made for me and I treasure them dearly. I am interested in learning how to quilt.

    Thanks for the contest!

  3. Stephanie says:

Hi! I’d love to win! I haven’t actually quilted yet, but I’m building up the courage to make myself a t-shirt quilt. Thanks!

  4. I would love to read this book – it sounds wonderful!

I am a beginning quilter – still trying to finish the first one while building a stash of lovely fabrics.

I have two quilts that I inherited from my grandmother that were made for her by her cousins – these ladies were master quilters, so my mother tells me. I love antique quilts and dream of filling my home with lots of them!

Thank you for this wonderful giveaway!

    Blessings,
    Nancy

  5. Melissa M. says:

I’d love this, and so would my mom! :)

  6. kristen says:

This book sounds intriguing. It also sounds like a great one for both my mom and I to read.

  7. lovedandamazed says:

I do not know how to quilt, but I have quilts from both of my grandmothers. I love going to sleep at night literally wrapped in their love. What could be better? Thank you for the chance to win… I’ve never read Stephanie Grace Whitson before and would like to give her a try!

  8. Donna Kozar says:

I am trying to learn how to quilt. My grandmother used to make quilts.

  9. Chrysa says:

I have several of my grandma’s quilts and also one from my aunt. I love quilts and wish I knew how to quilt myself. Thanks for the giveaway!

  10. Theresa N says:

I better at sewing the quilt together than I am hand quilting. I finished a baby quilt resently.

  11. Brenda says:

I love to quilt; learned from my Mom. I also enjoy books set in Nebraska!

  12. Tabitha says:

Sounds like a great book! I want to learn to quilt better – so far mine are nothing great. There are some heirloom quilts in my family, but I have not been blessed with them yet – my parents still have them!

    Thanks!

  13. Janelle says:

My mom is a quilter, and while I haven’t really done much on my own yet (only 1 small wall hanging), I have helped her for years and come to love the stories woven in the quilts.

  14. Jenn says:

I have one handed down quilt, but it’s quite ugly. I started quilting classes a few months ago and am loving it.

  15. Gina says:

I am starting my first quilt ever! It is going to be a Christmas present for my 11 year old son. It will be kind of funky because I let him pick out the fabrics and his tastes are all over the place! From fishing to baseball to camo and everything in between. The great thing about quilts is that you don’t have to pick out a “theme”. It can be as unique as the one you are making it for!
