Bloggy Giveaway at Quilting & Patchwork

I’m holding another giveaway/drawing at Quilting and Patchwork. This one is in conjunction with the Bloggy Giveaway Carnival, July 28-Aug. 1.
I’m offering the book, Sarah’s Patchwork, a novel by Stephanie Grace Whitson. We follow orphan Sarah Biddle as she starts her heirloom patchwork quilt in her new home in Lincoln, Nebraska. She grows from a frightened orphan girl to a courageous woman, stitching her quilt of past and present. This book is part of the Keepsake Legacies series.
The giveaway is open to those who live in the United States or have a mailing address here. The dates are July 28- Aug. 1, at 11:59 AM eastern.

I have two quilts that I inherited from my grandmother that were made for her by her cousins – these ladies were master quilters, so my mother tells me. I love antique quilts and dream of filling my home with lots of them!

This book sounds intriguing. It also sounds like a great one for both my mom and I to read.
I do not know how to quilt, but I have quilts from both of my grandmothers. I love going to sleep at night literally wrapped in their love. What could be better? Thank you for the chance to win… I’ve never read Stephanie Grace Whitson before and would like to give her a try!

My mom is a quilter, and while I haven’t really done much on my own yet (only 1 small wall hanging), I have helped her for years and come to love the stories woven in the quilts.
I have one handed down quilt, but it’s quite ugly. I started quilting classes a few months ago and am loving it.
I am starting my first quilt ever! It is going to be a Christmas present for my 11 year old son. It will be kind of funky because I let him pick out the fabrics and his tastes are all over the place! From fishing to baseball to camo and everything in between. The great thing about quilts is that you don’t have to pick out a “theme”. It can be as unique as the one you are making it for!
