Blogs about Alzheimer’s Disease.

Did you know that if you googled ‘blogs about Alzheimer’s Disese’ you would have 974,000 results to wade through.

Or if you googled ‘Alzheimer’s blogs’ the you would find over 1,260,000 results.

That’s way to many for anyone to go through in search for information.

So, to make it easier, I thought I’d list some of my favorite ones:

The Mom & Me Journals – an account of one caregiver’s journey in dealing with Alzheimer’s Disease

The Tangled Neuron – information about Alzheimer’s and dementia in easy to read language

Sunshine and Descent - a son’s personal account of his fathers journey into Alzheimer’s disease

Caregiving, Aging, and Alzheimer’s – commentrary, personal experience, articles, resources, and book reviews

950 Miles Away - Alzheimer’s Disease and the long distance caregiver.

It’s easy to learn and understand the dynamics and science of Alzheimer’s disease. But it’s also very important to understand the human element. These blogs let us do that in a very personal way…

    Hello,

I am the primary caregiver for my 78 year old Dad who has Alzheimer’s Disease and lives with me in NC.

I am writing a blog that shows the lighter side of caregiving, and offers tips for caregivers.

Please pass this link along to anyone you think may enjoy it.

Hi caregiver, it’s good to discover and read about other people’s experiences with Alzheimer’s disease. It makes people feel less alone when they are dealing with such a life changing situation.

    Cheers, Liz

Hi Liz: Love your blog. This was a good way to get others to contribute to the dementia community. I would like to mention my blog called, “The Dementia Caregiver’s Toolbox” which is on Typepad or can be reached through a link on my main website: http://www.nurturingnuggets.com.
Keep up the good work! Sue

  6. This post was a great idea, Liz. Also, if others, who write blogs about Alzheimer’s or know of resources we haven’t mentioned, would let us know, we’ll visit them. Let us know about your experiences concerning Alzheimer’s and caregiving.
