Written by former psychologist Richard Taylor, Alzheimer’s From the Inside Out is a collection of 80 essays documenting life with Alzheimer’s disease.

I haven’t had the opportunity to read this book yet, but according to reviews, it’s a book that anyone dealing with Alzheimer’s – either professionally or personally – should read.

  1. Yes, Liz, reading their books or talking with Alzheimer’s victims in the early stages enables us to know better what they’re facing and how they feel. By reading the book, Living in the Labyrinth, by Diana Friel McGowin, when Mother and Auntie were ill with Alzheimer’s, I learned a great deal from the patient’s viewpoint. This helped me understand what Mother and Auntie might be facing and feeling. Incidentally Diana McGowin’s book was made into a TV movie.
