When I was 18, I’m 45 now, my best friend named Craig, really didn’t have enough money to buy me a Christmas gift. I told him not to get me anything as his friendship was the best gift he could give.

Well, on Christmas Day, he came over to my parents and gave me the most beautifully wrapped gift. It was a heavier foil paper and he had pleated it in spots and on different angels and also made a built in card out of the same paper.

This present meant more to me than anything else I got that year because of the time he had put into wrapping it for me. I still have it and I’m now 45

    you see

he had wrapped an empty box for me!

I will forever cherish that gift.

    Thanks

  34. This would be great for my mom. When I was younger, she hated how much time it took to wrap all the presents at Christmas vs. how quickly they were torn apart and left the tree looking empty.

She started making us re-wrap our gifts so that the tree looked nice for the rest of the holiday. She’d sit with a roll of tape and we’d have to open everything very carefully from one end.

If we wanted the present right away, we’d have to set it aside and we’d hand her the empty box to slide back into the paper and she’d re-tape it.

My friends would come over after Christmas and ask why we hadn’t opened all our gifts yet.

  35. Donna K says:
