I love wrapping gifts – half of the excitement I get out of the holidays is the wrapping! I love finding new paper and ribbon, and adding little ornaments to give gifts that extra special touch. It makes opening them that much more fun for the recipient too! I’d love a few more creative ideas to add to my repertoire.

  2. Christina says:

I love making things beautiful (as in wrapping up gifts so that they become surprises!) and always welcome any ideas on how to do this – that’s why I’d love to win this book!

For her 14th birthday, my sister received her own personal, private phone (Dad paid to have it connected). The chosen physical phone itself was disassembled, and each part wraped in newspaper and stuffed with more wadded newspaper into a really large box. There was also three months’ payments in quarters, each tucked into newspaper. It took her about half an hour to sort out the paper, count the money, and assemble her phone, but of course she was thrilled.

  11. Gina says:

One year I asked for a Home Depot gift card for my birthday – because I wanted to buy some paint for my bedroom. I received the gift card – in a paint can that had been covered in scrapbook paper and with a card that was made out of a Behr paint chip! Loved it!

  12. Teresa G says:

I have a friend who is such a creative gift wrapper. She makes her own gift wrap from brown paper bags, newspaper or white drawing paper. She draws on them and puts stickers and glitter. She puts flowers and plants on the bows too. I hope I win this book I would love to read it and get ideas.

  36. Eve says:

When I was a little girl, I’d snoop till I found gifts that were stored before wrapping. In order to foil my attempts at snooping and revealing gifts, my older sis started wrapping gifts in unique ways that I couldn’t take apart easily and that didn’t give me a clue to what was inside. As an adult she continues to wrap things beautifully to the point that the box is sometimes the gift. I’d love to be able to wrap things in such as way that she would love the outside of the gift as much as the inside, just as she does for everyone.
