Hi Marjike,
The words that perked up my ears that you said was “the fear of pain.” I can manage ok for a few days, then get slammed. This weekend, for example. I cleaned my closets and vaccuumed. I was feeling energetic and not hurtin too bad. Well, I do this all the time, I want it all to get done, so I push myself and then end up paying for it. I was hurting so much yesterday I felt like crying. But, I keep plugging on. What else can ya do? I’ve gained so much weight this past year and that doesn’t help either. You exercise, then hurt, then quit exercising, then eat, then exercise, then hurt….the cycle continues. Thanks for the review.
Kim
I would love to win a copy of the Chronic Pain Care Workbook. I have RA, FMS, OA, heart disease, and have just had my second failed back surgery. Prior to becoming disabled, I worked as a psychologist and spent some time looking for ways to manage not only my pain but the pain of the people I worked with. Maybe the book can help me get back to the point that I can manage my pain well enough to work again.
Sarah, you have to go to Marijke’s site to enter the contest. The link is in the post.
