Wrapped with Style cover-January-small.jpgIf you need inspiration for beautiful ways to wrap it up, Wrapped with Style may be your answer. Last week, I interviewed the author, Leslie Carola. If you missed the interview, read it here.

The book includes how-to basics, as well as sections on using fresh flowers, special adornments and playing with color. Emphasis is also given to “tying it up” and gift bags, boxes and baskets.

I picked a few of my favorite projects from Wrapped with Style to show. There are many more in the 120-page book.

This snake wrapping, helpful in packaging small gifts for children, is credited to pinestreet papery. It features clear acetate and green and orange ribbon. I must try that one.

The author spoke of this project in our interview. The delicate lace reminds Leslie of her grandmother, who “was always beautifully dressed.” This might make for lovely Mother’s Day gift wrapping!

I love the color selections for this gift wrap. The author states that the contrasting fuschia and orange combo generates excitement, and I agree. The goldfish accents the multilooped bow.

Finally, a take on Christmas wrap that’s refreshing and old-fashioned at the same time. This package uses tan paper stamped with large hearts with a special ornament added to the mix.

Having any doubts you could pull these off?

The book features illustrated instructions on wrapping different shaped boxes, creating a reverse pleat and tying simple, multiloop or twisted-loop bows. You may also hunt down unique supplies using the source list, which includes street and web addresses for several companies that offer paper, embellishments, ribbon and more.

In addition to being a helpful book, Wrapped with Style also looks pretty just sitting on the coffee table!

These are so clever and don’t look like too much extra work.

The dress is just lovely and makes me think of doing a tuxedo or man’s shirt with tie. Men are so hard to shop for. This is a good way to make a mna’s gift extra-special.

    Eileen,

I think you’re right. The book is supposed to open your eyes to simple ways to make your gifts more attractive. It’s just a matter of collecting the materials.
