Collage, Assemblage, and Altered Art
by Diane Maurer-Mathison
This book is in three parts, as the title suggests, with each new part building upon the techniques and concepts of the earlier ones. Diane includes many interesting techniques and even some step-by-step projects, but my favorite parts of this book are the sections entitled, “Learning from the professionals”. My kind of stuff! Here we get to peek inside the heads of some remarkable and talented artists to learn what they were thinking when they created their fabulous works.
Lots of inspiration and solid information! This is not a completely comprehensive guide to every technique ever created for collage, but it’s a very creative and informative start
