Books – The Christmas Gift We Can Keep on Giving

Books for Christmas

I mentioned previously that my granddaughter had a long list of books on her Christmas list.  (I need a list from family members because I can’t keep up with what they’ve already read and what they’d like.)  However, as we (daughter, son-in-law, two grandchildren, hubby and I) opened gifts, we received many books and have spent much of the afternoon reading, putting puzzles togther, and playing Wii Fit (to work off the tasty goodies).

A Variety of Books

My daughter’s list included quilting and fabric art books.  Grandson Alex thoroughly enjoyed his Garfield book and a Bones book (and giggled over Garfield with his grandfather).  Kara, her dad and mom like many of the same novels so pass them around.  Kara and Alex are enjoying some Dinotopia books.

They got me a Civil War book (this will help, too, with research for my Civil War novel in progress) and a series of cozy mysteries set in a Kansas bookstore.

“Books are a gift we can keep on giving,” said Alex, “because we can all read them.”

How about you?  What books did you and your children receive for Christmas?
