“When I get a little money I buy books; and if any is left I buy food and clothes”Erasmus

But, then I’m left with bunches of books – lots aren’t good enough to keep and I’m not a re-reader – and I have to sell them back or donate them. I am not rich, so I have to wait until I can find new releases used – which is usually only a few months, but I’d just as soon not have to deal with the shipping. I have this itty bitty library that charges $2 when they borrow books from other libraries and they rarely get any books I want to read.

Enter BookSwim.com – essentially, it’s Netflix for books. Is there a better idea?

You can get new $25 books – an entire box of them, without paying shipping – for $9.99 a month.

If you want more books out at one time, you pay a higher monthly fee.

“Machine Dreams” Jen won a 3 month membership to BookSwim.com.

Last week I wrote some Quick Pop Culture Reviews including some popular books.

The reason I was able to read several of those books is that they gave me a free one month membership.

I’m totally signing up. I have a book club and I end up spending $10-$20 on that book alone every month.

They will even buy a book you ask for and hope that other subscribers will read it to.
