Boomer friendly gardens

garden.gifThough I bristle a little at the notion that Baby Boomers, a little too close to my age for comfort, are crippled and wheelchair ridden, The Tennessean has an article about building gardens that work for aging gardeners.

Tips for building a “boomer-friendly” garden include:

-adding handrails
-building walkways that accommodate wheelchairs
-create raised beds to prevent having to bend over
