Both Men and Women Benefit from Taking Aspirin for the Heart

Aspirin is good for you, whether you’re a man, whether you’re a woman.

Bayer-Low Dose Aspirin Regimen, 365ctAnd there you have it! Latest results from the Nurses Health Study show that taking aspirin in low to moderate doses (baby aspirin is 81-mg per tablet) can:

  • Reduce the risk of death in middle-aged and older women by 25%
  • Reduce the risk of death from cardiovascular disease by 38%
  • Reduce the risk of death from cancer by 12%

Doctors are suggesting that women talk to their personal physicians to make sure that it’s ok for them to take aspirin as a disease prevention measure.
