Brain Fog Episode 1.5

This picture makes me want to write a song about the fog. I tried writing some lyrics to the tune of “Moon River”, but I just couldn’t get the words to fit quite right. If any of you feel like trying your hand at being a lyricist ~ and feel like writing a little song about “brain fog” send me your work, and I will profile it on this blog. I would award a prize, but alas I have nothing to give….except a whole lot of gratitude, and some link love and of course a moment in the spotlight.

OK down to the task at hand. Today’s feature is all about Grace and her brain fog….and I have to say she has a very special variety. Hers actually made me smile. Grace is a blogger for b5media (in case you haven’t already guessed). Grace blogs over at Flu Patrol. Flu Patrol is a very important blog, and if I was a wiser patient, I would be reading it a whole lot more often than I do. I am always a little surprised (a happy surprise) when smart and healthy people admit to suffering from brain fog. But like last week’s entry, I think Grace gets a bit of the foggy brain when she takes on too much.

This is what she had to say, when I asked what kind of brain fog bloggers suffer from,

how about coming to work with arms loaded with books, keys, lunch box, purse AND my baby’s formula in my hand?!

and last week on a really busy and important morning before heading to work, i dropped my baby off at the daycare, looked down on my feet to see them still wrapped in my hot pink fluffy bedroom slippers. and no, it wasn’t casual Friday.
good thing my baby’s sitter was my shoe size. otherwise… well.. either scenario would be hilarious!

I love that she went to work in her fluffy pink slippers. I think its adorable! Not entirely professional, but she would have been sooo comfortable.

When I pressured Grace to come up with a solution for her fog, she couldn’t. She responded thusly,

uhm. solution? well, i don’t know. what can reverse the effects of aging and a slurp of ceasarian anesthesia? i swear my brain got mushed after giving birth.

Another case of mommy brain. I can’t imagine how you mommies do it!

Thanks for sharing Grace. Pink fuzzy slippers….I love it!!!!
