Brain gym.
I love Thinkfun’s range of games because they’re a really good workout for the brain while being totally enjoyable for people of all ages. That’s saying a lot, coming from a person who really, really sucks at brainteaser games of any kind. Their classic Rush Hour game comes with many levels of difficulty, so kids can play alongside their parents, grandparents, anyone who’s intelligent enough to solve a puzzle involving moving stuff aside to get the designated piece out. We take ours along on holidays to amuse ourselves on the plane, on the road or whenever we have time to kill.

Ooooh, I love that game! For some reason, I remember being stuck on card #8 or something for a really long time. My daughter likes to play it now, and her little bro likes to just move the cars around.
