Broken hearts do lead to chronic pain

The pain of a broken heart is more than missing someone who you loved – it can result in actual physical chronic pain.
According to the article, How emotional pain can really hurt, “new brain scanning technologies are revealing that the part of the
brain that processes physical pain also deals with emotional pain.”
Apparently, chronic pain is not the only issue though – people who have experienced extreme heart break are also more prone to having accidents or becoming ill, especially within 6 months of the incident. The article is an interesting read.
