Buying Multiples of Products

I went into the pantry today to put the new bottle of maple syrup away that my husband said we just had to have because we were “running low,” only to find two partially opened bottles already there. I suspect that when he saw the first one running low he put it on the grocery list, and the bottle got shoved to the back of the pantry. Then, when he saw that one getting low he added it to the list again.

And now we have three bottles of syrup.

I understand where he’s coming from, though. There are things I’m afraid to run out of also, and sometimes buy multiples without realizing it. Garbage bags are one. Batteries are another. (Not syrup – but there you go – different priorities!)

So it got me thinking… are there certain items you end up buying over and over again for fear of running out?

We wound up with 4 giant bottles of yellow mustard (because we shop at Sam’s Club). We tried to give them away, no takers. The movers accidentally packed them up and we trucked them across country. Most expensive yellow mustard ever. I’m pretty sure we still have a bottle.
