Cadbury Schweppes announced a Britain-wide recall of its Dairy Milk Double Choc packs because these bars “MAY contain traces of nuts” – and this warning is missing from packaging labels of thousands of bars.
You can clearly identify the packs since 250g packaging bears the phrase “win a prize and a half” (as pictured).

The company warns consumers not to eat the recalled bars and to get in touch with Cadbury-UK (here) for a refund. So far there have been no consumer complaints, nor are there any other Cadbury products affected.
Allergy warnings on food labels must be taken very seriously. It can cause the life of someone you love.
Make sure you read every and all label. Even if it’s for a product you are using constantly, as ingredient information may change, or as in this case, mis-labeling. Most chocolate products are manufactured in facilities that make other products containing peanuts or nuts. If you’re in doubt, call the company directly to find out if the product is safe for consumption by an allergy-sufferer.
