Calculate Your Risk of Breast and Ovarian Cancer

I’m pretty sure not all of my readers are survivors. I know I have some caregivers in the mix. But I think there are also women out there interested in this disease because they feel they are at risk. Maybe they are even trying to assess their level of risk.

Are you one of those women? Maybe your mother had breast cancer. Maybe your aunt. Maybe dealt with a diagnosis of DCIS (ductal carcinoma in situ) already and were told it was pre-cancerous, really, so you’re wondering if invasive cancer is in your future.

If that’s you, here’s a great tool you can use to calculate your risk. It’s sponsored by the National Breast and Ovarian Cancer Centre in Australia. I swear, I’m not Australian, but there’s some great information coming out of that country right now.

There’s a screen shot of what you can expect if you follow this link. So go ahead, take the assessment. Then come back here and let me know about the results.

Don’t be afraid. Information is power. If you are at high risk, your awareness of that fact could be life-saving. Good luck!

P.S. Don’t forget the Autoglam Car Sticker Giveaway, going on now.

P.P.S. Check out the poll in the sidebar of this blog and let me know … at what stage were you diagnosed?

Thank you so much for posting this and twittering it. I didn’t want to do the quiz. I have breast cancer on both sides of the family and thought I’d top the charts.

HOWEVER!!! I am doing everything right to help myself not get it and I was only at the upper part of average.

This makes me feel great. I can keep it up and know that I am truly helping myself be healthy! Tears of joy over here in Seattle! TY Val
