CaliBowls – Not Your Average Bowl!

With the holiday season coming, people will naturally entertain more and serve snacks? You know how when you’re scooping your dip with your chip, you usually end up with a big old glob on it? Well there’s a new bowl out there meant to help with this situation: CaliBowls!

When I first heard about these bowls, I thought, what’s the big deal? A bowl is a bowl, right? But you know what? These bowls are different. The edge of the bowl has a ridge on it, so you can dip your chip and get the right amount on it without having to use your fingers or a spoon. The bowl also works well for cereal.

The CaliBowl comes in “BPA-free plastic” and ceramic bowls with a bunch of funky colors. Some of them are shown, but the company lists Apple Green, Snow White, Aqua Blue, Berry Blue, Ripe Tomato and Lemon Meringue.

Here’s a description from the company:

The CaliBowl, from SimpleWave, is simplicity defined-a direct, simple and easy solution to an annoying problem. The patent-pending CaliBowl is designed with an inward-curving lip, not unlike the tide of a wave, that guarantees the food, dip, or condiment will be scooped on to the utensil, chip, food item, or back into the bowl preventing messy spillage. Better still, it discourages the unhygienic practice of double dipping and allows for the complete and total consumption of the bowl’s contents leaving behind no remnants. Its design also acts as a great aid for kids or the physically challenged that might normally have difficulty enjoying cereal, soup or pasta.

I can see this bowl being used for the holidays and football games in our house. As you can tell by the pictures, they also stack well for storage. They’re fine in the microwave and are dishwasher safe as well. Oprah even likes them. They were featured on her “O List.” Prices aren’t bad, either. You can buy them online here.
