In today’s video I talk about a few simple safety steps you should take care of before contractors enter your yard and start digging something up, or even if you plan on digging.

This video is part 2 of my replacing a water service series. To view part one please click on this link -> Replacing a water service – part 1

Watch today’s video called – Call before you dig!

Video Recap Before the sewer and water contractors come to dig up my yard and replace my water service I had to call out my utility company’s (Hydro and Gas) to mark our there lines. The reason for this is because while the contractors are digging with there backhoe they could accidentally hit a power or gas line which could result in someone getting killed.

Sometimes with a few simple phone calls you can save someones life with out even knowing it. The last thing I wanted when the contractors where here was for someone to get hurt in anyway shape or form.

Tomorrows post you will see the start of my very exciting job I have had done here at my home as the big trucks role in to start there job.
