Submissions for the National Geographic Traveler’s travel photo contest, the World in Focus is closing on August 21, 2009, so get your favorite travel photo submitted.

Prizes
Amateur Winners
- GRAND PRIZE is a 15-day trip for two to Antarctica aboard the National Geographic Endeavour.
- FIRST PRIZE includes a 5-day trip for two to The Cliffs Preserve in Patagonia, Chile.
- SECOND PRIZE is a 6-day cruise for two on a Maine Windjammer Schooner.
- THIRD PRIZE 7-day Photography Workshop for one in Oaxaca, Mexico.
- MERIT PRIZES will be awarded to seven lucky entrants, and include a Nikon Coolpix P60 Camera and more goodies.
Prizes for professional photographers include:
- GRAND PRIZE is a 6-day pro photography workshop in Santa Fe, New Mexico, plus a Nikon D-80 Digital SLR (body only), tripod and more.
- PRIZE IN EACH CATEGORY: A Nikon D-60 Kit with an 18-55mm VR lens, tripod shoulder bag and more.
The winning images will also be featured in the January/February 2009 edition of National Geographic Traveler, and displayed at the World in Focus Gallery Exhibit at PhotoPlus Expo October 23-25, 2008, in New York.
