Can the tick cause CFS?

For more than six weeks, Kendra Lewis of Missouri, has been sick. Really sick. She has been suffering from sore joint pain, extreme exhaustion, headaches, rash, and fevers. She hasn’t been able to work a full 40hr work week in at least eight weeks. She has even been falling asleep at her desk.
Kendra has had a negative monospot. Professionals have been throwing around the words “Chronic F atigue Syndrome”, and really can you blame them…it sounds like a pretty classic case to me (she just has about 4 weeks more to go before they can officially call it that).
However, there is one little difference. Kendra was attacked (bitten?) by a tick. This tick has blessed her with Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever. Isn’t it interesting that RMSF sounds just like CFS? I suppose this is just another reason to avoid the bugs. So make sure you are careful out there, when you are enjoying the summer weather.
