Career and Kids Mission Statement

All of us at b5media have been tasked with writing a mission statement for our blogs. A public mission statement is a great idea. I had been thinking recently that I could use a little focus.

Career and Kids is about connecting working dads with their families.

That means I am going to try and provide advice to improve the quality of time you have with your family when you are not at work. There will also be tips on things you can do to stay connected with your family while you are at the office.

I also think an important part of improving your family time is to improve you career. If you are happier with your job, than it will be easier to enjoy your time away from work. I will provide tips to help get promoted, to get projects done more easily, to work better with coworkers, and to improve your working environment.

Sometimes all the tips in the world can not make the day work out. Sometimes you just need to spend a couple dollars to buy a widget to help around the office or at home. I will show you the things that help me out.

Finally, it is good to know that other people are going through similar problems and see their successes. I will share stories about mine and other people I work with.
