This week will start off with another caregiving website that I found. It is called HerMentorCenter.com . This site is more than just a how-to for caregivers. It is more of a nurturing the Sandwich Generation of caregivers, by giving them tools to help themselves.
From the site, you can sign up for their newsletter. The free service, called “Stepping Stones”, is also available at the site in their library of articles. Very informative and nicely put together. I am adding HerMentorCenter.com to the list of sites for us to refer to.
In other Genbetween news, I found a MSNBC video and article, about a family’s struggles to raise children and care for an elderly parent. I feel such empathy for them, and then think “Wait a minute! It is just as crazy around here on a daily basis”! This is hard work, folks. It is ok to admit it.
I am glad you all have stuck with me for the past month, as I found my stride here. Thank you for all the feedback and encouragement, as I tackle this important and frustrating time in my life.

Thanks for the mention of our website, Amy. And
congratulations on finding your stride – your posts are informative, real and heartfelt. I’m glad we found each other.
Transition is always challenging – having our parents live with us, or us with them, can be wonderful and really hard. Our blog, http://www.NourishingRelationships.blogspot.com, this week is focused on President Obama’s mother-in-law’s move into the White House.
