Celebrity Status Equals Fast – Track?

Madonna will appear in court next month for a review of her Malawian adoption…five months earlier than expected. Apparently she and Guy Ritchie have completed their home study and will travel to Malawi to complete the adoption before the proposed 18 months.

Children and human rights campaigners, who have challenged the adoption from the outset, are said to be further angered by the news that the completion date has been brought forward, reducing the time for visits and assessments. Spokesperson Justin Dzonzi told the newspaper: “If this is true it would appear the rules have been bent.”

If this is true my issue with this is that thousands of families wait the alloted time to adopt their children and a celebrity can break the rules (if there are said rules…there has been much speculation surrounding this).
