CFS Squared A Retrospective

Sorry, yesterday’s retrospective is a few hours late. My priorities are just a little screwed up. Since the insomnia has apparently gone away, I need a lot more sleep than normal. Blogging has been reduced to the very early mornings, now.

Since Rafael Nadal beat Roger Federer at Roland Garros, on the weekend. I thought I would profile my favorite book that I use(d) with my teaching practice. The book is called: The Inner Game of Tennis written by Timothy Galwey. Great book! I urge everyone to read it, its fantastic!!!!

Also mentioned in this post, is what happens when your support system gets frustrated with you. As I mentioned in the post, earlier this year the majority of mine disappeared. One person was so frustrated with me being sick (almost continuously) with pneumonia that he finally said to only call him again if I needed a ride to emergency. The others just left because I wasn’t feeling up to going to parties anymore.

I am not letting this bother me, I am just at a point now, where I will search for new people to spend time with. This wasn’t supposed to be a pity party….It was supposed to be an introduction to a really great book.

I’ve noticed that men in particular get frustrated when their optimism about my condition doesn’t result in a miracle cure. I think we remind people of human vulnerability and mortality, and they aren’t quite ready to accept it.

I do know that this particular person, has had problems watching my health yo-yo, over the past several years.

This year, it got particularly bad…and I really do think that he feels that if he cut his ties now, then it wouldn’t hurt so much if and when I didn’t exist anymore (harsh…isnt it).

On the other hand, I am feeling much improved, and I am tribeless.

I think I will start checking out craigslist for new friends.
