The Summer CHA 2006 week has just ended (Wish I could be there!) and here’s the top picks from a couple of sources:
About Scrapbooking says:
Overall Scrapbook Trends for 2006 -
Chipboard: We all agreed that chipboard was “it.” It seemed like every booth, every manufacturer was offering some sort of chipboard embellishment.
Fashion Paper Colors: A trend in the scrapbooking industry is for paper colors to follow fashion colors. This Spring look for a continuation of the “shabby chic” look with lots of sanded looking cardstocks in color combinations of blue/brown, and pink/brown.
Mini Books: Many companies have versions of accordion books, books in mini-tins, ways to bind your own books, etc. If you can make it faster and smaller it was popular at the show this year. Watch for even more articles on Mini Books here on About Scrapbooking.
Out of the Scrapbook: Scrapbook pages could be found in frames on the wall, made into printed rub-on’s for ceramic tiles, painted on canvases and more. The trend toward using scrapbooking in home decor and finding new ways to display your artistic pages will definitely be continuing.
