Chaotic House? A Little Mess Won’t Kill You

My husband is what you’d call a very domesticated person. I am fortunate to have someone that willingly help around the house.

What Hubby is a stickler for is tidiness. He likes a tidy and orderly house. Unfortunately, having a young child in the house makes it hard to keep the house tidy. It used to stress my Husband to no end when he sees the house littered with toys all around but he’s gotten used to it now. I meant he’s gotten used to have a bit of chaos in his orderly life :-)

I think Hubby now finally understands that we’d rather have a chaotic house where the occupants are happy than a house that is super tidy but the people living in there are unhappy.

We both live very busy lives and the last thing I want to do on the weekend is spend them all on doing the housework. It is fortunate though that our daughter is now 12 years old and while she still leave things lying around the house like there’s no tomorrow, she is able to help around the house with simple chores like vacuuming, dusting, helping with the dishes and tidying up her bedroom.

So remember, next time your Husband complains about a messy house, tell him “A little mess won’t kill you!” :-)
