THEY SHOULD BE PUNISHED FOR THAT AND SHOULD NOT HAVE THOSE KIDS, EVEN WITH THE SHOW EDITING SOME OF IT. IT IS IN NO WAY TO RAISE KIDS AND IT WILL MENTALLY MESS THOSE KIDS UP. AND TO COMPARE YOUR SITUATION WITH THERES IS KINDA SICK AND STANDING UP FOR THEM IS BAD AS WELL. I think that this episode is a very extreme example of how people can take advantage of their children. It is not those two girls faults that they are forced to raise their younger siblings, nor was it their choice for their parents to bring three young children into this world without intending to take repsonsibility for them. I agree that children should be responsible for helping out around the house and doing chores, however they should not be doing more around the house than their parents. Children are not slaves. They are not free labour. I mean seriously, come on. This is 2008. This should be illegal! ]]> By: brandy http://www.blisstree.com/articles/chapman-family-targeted-after-supernanny-show-35/comment-page-1/#comment-29698 brandy Tue, 12 Feb 2008 17:57:25 +0000 http://www.supernannyrules.com/chapman-family-targeted-after-supernanny-show/#comment-29698 I am a mom of 4 with 2 step kids. my 4 year old is just like these kids on tv that hit, scratch and the home revolves around them. i have been fighting to get help for 3 years. my hubby does what he can, school also helps and his teachers and counselers are amazing!!! it is hell to be in the situations that these family's are in. until you are there, most people cant understand what it is like. i actually video tape his episodes so i have proof of what is going on so i can show DCF that i am not hurting him in any way. i was down that road once because someone did not understand. i tell people that if you took my son for 3 days you would know what our life is like. the 1st day, great, 2nd day he will test you then 3rd day it is nothing held back. i think if we saw everything that was going on in the home, these people that think they know everything and say they should have the kids taken away should spend the weekend with them. i can say that most would change their minds. there are some really bad parents out there but the ones that ask for help get the rotten deal and have the kids taken or get punished yet the ones that should, nothing ever happens to them. i have even used some of the stuff from the show that she recommends and with time, they do work if you want them to. i have even applied to be on the show with my family. any help is better than nothing and she is GOOD and I LOVE HER. by the way, even my 11 year old watches the show with my hubby and myself for ideas on helping his lil brother.
