Charity Walks for Exercise

Do charity walks motivate people to be more physically active, or do only physically active people participate in them? I don’t have the answer, but I think it may be a little of both.

Eat Better America suggests walking for a cause is a great way to motivate yourself to exercise. They offer five steps to help you get ready for a charity walk.

My tip: If you want to walk for a charity, but you’re shy about asking people for donations, talk to your HR person at work. Perhaps your company can sponsor a group of walkers. Plus, you’ll have the added benefit of walking alongside people you know.
