Choosing a Restaurant in San Francisco

Deciding where to eat when you’re on vacation can often be an exasperating experience.  After spending hours going back and forth with “I don’t know, where do you want to go?” you may find yourself starving, frustrated, and ending up eating something that you really don’t want.  Yeah, I’ve done that before!

USA 2005 (October 7th) California, San Francisco San Francisco, a city full of great food options, wants to make the decision a little easier for you with its website Taste SF.

Organized into useful sections like Inspiring Views (great ideas for special occasions) and brunch, as well as by type of cuisine, price range, and neighborhood, the list is easy to use and gives you all the information you need to make a dinner choice.

The section on Drink includes brew pubs and wine bars, and a good amount of information if you’re interested in heading into the wine country.  A few specialty categories need entries, like Chocolatiers and Cooking Schools, but there is some fun information about Culinary Tours of the city as well as upcoming food events.

The site is laid out for easy use, gives practical and useful information, and provides links to take you directly to locations that you are considering.  I visit San Francisco, and the entire Bay Area, fairly frequently, and this site is now bookmarked for future use.

  1. OMG it’s SO Hard to pick in SF too. There are just WAY too many places to eat. I sometimes would get frustrated on visits and just hit a grocery store for bananas, so this is a cool resource. I really liked SF Palomino – if you happen to be there. It has a balcony looking out at the bay bridge, cool food, plus a nice atmosphere.
