Christmas Is Over, But the Giving Continues

I’m back from a festive Christmas Day, and am pleasantly greeted with the story of Russell Schoemer, a young man of 15 who has recently donated hair to Locks of Love. Like many, Russell has personal motivations for his actions; his grandfather, aunt and a family friend have all been killed by cancer. Another aunt was the stylist who cut his hair.

Gotta love mom: “I understand why he wanted to do it, but now he looks so grown up.”
