Christmas present idea for your kids

I got a laptop from work a while back. My kids think it is pretty cool and my daughter has even been asking for a toy laptop for Christmas.

This is a great thing for parents to remember. Something like that could be a great way to bond with my kids. We could pretend to spend a day at the office. We could make pretend phone calls and send pretend emails.

Obviously, not everybody uses a laptop in their career but the concept holds no matter what.

If you are a carpenter or mechanic, you could use some good kid tools. If you are an interior decorator, some fabric and paint chips would work. Whatever your career, you should be able to find some toys, tools, and clothes that you could play work with your kids.

Buying toys that your child associates with your career would encourage your kid to seek you out. It will also give you a great opportunity to teach them a little bit about your job and what going to work is like.
