Church of the Resurrection

Ironically, we took a tour on Easter Sunday that wound us towards the Church of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, one of the most prestigious and most beautiful churches in the world. It is also where Alexander II was assassinated on March 1, 1881.

The church, also known as the Church of the Savior of Spilled Blood, or the Church on the Blood, was designed by Alfred Parland in the same style of the 16th and 17th century Russian churches.
