Classic Offbeat Homes: Earth Day 2007

For this week’s Offbeat Classic, I figured I’d hunt down what Adam had going on for Earth Day 2007. I didn’t do anything here special for Earth Day, mainly because I don’t like separating ED into a one day situation. That said, if you read Offbeat regularly, I think you feel ok with the amount of green we’ve got going on. I like eco-architecture and design topics in general, so it comes up.

In any case, I went back to see what happened here last year on ED 2007. It looks like Adam ignored ED as well. Not sure why he did. He did have a great dome post going on. With this as the kick off:

In the classic Offbeat post, No Straight Edges, you’ll find info about the structure above, a cool dome video, and more. Many domes are earth-friendly, or can be, with the appropriate design methods, so maybe it’s on target after all.

I like that in an odd way… :)

  2. Really? I’ve always kind of hated this house. It’s so, so, um I don’t know what it is I just have never liked it. Every time I see it at a website people are ooooo and ahhhhhing over it – but it’s not for me.

I can’t get into the dome house. Way too much like an egg.

  4. Well, like an egg with doors and windows :) It’s totally an ugly white though.
