Cleaning Up On Earth Day

The world celebrated Earth Day yesterday and as part of recognizing that event, a number of students from elementary school Immaculate Conception in Canada went out to the Black Oak Heritage Park to clean up. They did not only help pick up the pieces of trash that could be found at the place but they also did get to learn about what the environment’s current situation is.
Jarod Bulmer is 10 years old and is a current fifth grader. He says that he thinks people should be cleaning up places. He added, “That shield that’s helping us from the sun is breaking and if we don’t do something about it — reduce, reuse, recycle — if you don’t do that, one day the earth is just going to be a huge rock on fire. And some of the earth is going to be frozen.” Indeed, that kind of situation could be scary, even to adults.
