College Gets OK For Wind Turbine

Not much are looking at having turbines in their homes or campuses. A lot prefer solar power through solar panels because they are less obtrusive compared to wind turbines. However, wind turbines can still produce power even at night as long as the wind is still blowing.In Texas, a college has been given the green signal to go ahead with having a wind turbine in its campus. This is the Kalamazoo Valley Community College and it would be receiving soon a wind turbine that towers at 150 feet.

There have been some reactions though and one was the kind of noise that such a wind turbine could bring. According to the experts behind the wind turbine, it would not be giving off any really loud sounds. All the noise that it would make would be less than 50 decibels.

The wind turbine costs $250,000 and each of its blades measure 25 feet.
