Come Visit – It’s Lonely In There

One of the things that I love about CFS Squared, is the community. I am very lucky to have such a great group of regular readers. Knowing that you all visit regularly, makes it easier to write this blog.
I also write another blog for b5media, called Baldiness. I have been writing this blog since last summer, and while I am enjoying it – and learning loads, I don’t have much of a following. Or if I do, they are very very quiet. It’s not like people aren’t reading it – its just that I get very few comments….and that makes me feel lonely and unloved. Can you hear the violin music playing in the background???
Anyway, I would love it, if you would stop by and say hello. Basically, the blog is a lot like CFS2 except its about hairloss and really bad hair days.
In case you didn’t know, I lose my hair when I suffer from long bouts of illness – specifically when a there is a recurring fever. For example, when I get mono – my hair will fall out in large chunks, and will break off mid-strand. I do not have alopecia, but rather the hair loss is a side effect from CFS.
Anyway, please drop by and leave a salutation. Your friendly chatter just might prompt some others to chime in as well.

I quit writing in my other blog because it was as if I had a reader-ship for a while and I LOVED the comments section and how it would get going. Then it was like people had me on their buddy list out of politeness. I just scrapped the other journals and locked the one I couldn’t get rid of.
I did not know you lost your hair from time to time. What a friggin’ disease. I used to see Dr. Overman – http://www.dr-overman.com – and the book he wrote with a patient is actually a good one. I don’t know why I’m thinking of that now. I don’t see anyone really for much of anything. OH SHOOOt. I forgot about my appointment yesterday! The acupuncturist.
Its funny how people respond to one blog, and not the others….even though the writing style is the same. I guess it just depends on what people are interested in, and the types of people reading the blogs. Perhaps baldies are just a quieter sort?
Ah the hair loss. For me its a “meh-whatever” kind of thing. It doesn’t bother me anymore. I have a selection of hats, and when it gets really bad, I chop off ‘do, and get a bunch of layers put in, and it covers whatever needs to be covered. I have a very understanding and innovative stylist. Strange how it is usually much worse in the summer though.
Were you able to reschedule the acupuncturist appt? What happened?
I used to loose my hair a lot more when I was taking various supplements for my CFS. I find it is connected to the liver being overwhelmed with toxins, made by the internal viruses and fungi and also just the normal ones the body has. I reccomend liver support herbs, especially milk thistle. I take a product from vitamin research products http://www.vrp.com called hepatogen, that is great for liver. Better tho to start with a tincture, so you can do a tiny amount at a time. Less is always more I find.
